Biography :

  • 1970-1995: Researcher at the C.N.R.S.
  • 1995-2012: Professor of Language Sciences at the University of Avignon
  • Since 2012: Emeritus Professor
  • 2002-2012: Director of the Department of Linguistics and FLE at the University of Avignon.
  • 2004-2012: Head of the "Didactics of French as a foreign/second language and intercultural education" Masters course since its inception.
  • 1997-2000: Vice-President of the University of Avignon (Board of Directors).
  • 1996-2012: Director of Centre for Canadian Studies, Université d'Avignon
  • 2000-2003: Director of the JE 2300 laboratory French in the French-speaking world: language and representations.
  • 2006-2009: Director of the ICTT laboratory ("Cultural identity, texts and theatricality", EA 4277).
  • 2006-2012: Editor-in-Chief of the magazine Canadian Studies/Etudes canadiennes
