Investment in the future
In December 2009, the French government launched the "Investissements d'avenir" programme.
This programme is managed by the Commissariat Général à l'Investissement (CGI) under the authority of the Prime Minister. Its objective is to promote investment and innovation. 35 billion has been allocated in the form of grants in five priority sectors that generate growth and jobs:
- higher education and training
- research
- industrial sectors and SMEs
- sustainable development
- digital
The University of Avignon is involved in a number of projects funded by the PIA:
