Pierre Baby wins the 2ᵉ jury prize in the regional final and will be taking part in the national semi-final of My Thesis in 180 seconds!

We are delighted to announce that Pierre Babya doctoral student in ecotoxicology and entomology at theMediterranean Institute of Biodiversity and Marine and Continental Ecology (IMBE), won the 2ᵉ jury prize at the Ma Thèse en 180 secondes regional final in Aix-en-Provence on 23 February 2024.

He presented his thesis entitled :
"Physiological and behavioural responses of the generalist predator, Forficula pubescens (Dermaptera: Forficulidae) in the face of various biotic and abiotic constraints with a view to biological control in apple orchards".

Under the supervision of Magali Rault, Senior Lecturer (IMBE), and Hazem Dib, Senior Lecturer (IMBE), Pierre Baby gave a brilliant presentation of his research work. His success opens the door to the national semi-final to be held in Paris on Friday 29 March.
