Components
In the spring of 2024, Avignon University introduced a new organisational structure, designed to go beyond the disciplinary framework and improve the research support of the former UFR components, as well as to fully integrate the training and research dynamic within the institution's two areas of differentiation. The former training and research units (UFR) have been replaced by two new institutes, 'Agrosciences, Environment and Health' and 'Culture, Heritage and Digital Societies', designed to be fully in line with the institution's scientific and research project, while responding more effectively to the needs and expectations of the university community. They will enable greater synergy between teaching departments and research laboratories, promoting a cross-disciplinary and collaborative approach. They also raise the university's profile in the local community and strengthen links with socio-economic partners.
The components are responsible for teaching and learning by bringing together training departments and laboratories or research centres. They correspond to an educational project and a research programme implemented by teacher-researchers, teachers and researchers from one or more basic disciplines.
You will find below the links giving access to the descriptive sheets of the components of Avignon University.
