What is your research about?

My research activities focus on extraction of natural products The extracts obtained meet a growing demand for natural extracts that can be used in food, cosmetics and phytotherapy. What are your current scientific activities?

My news is made up of research projectspublications, but also of strong industrial partnerships on the theme of extraction, which allows me to never get into a routine. There is never a dull moment, and that is one of the riches of this profession.

Why did you choose to work in academic research?

Since I was a little girl I wanted to be a researcher, I wanted to be a chemist.

Working in university research has allowed me to fulfil my dream.

Not only do I have the chance to work as a researcher, but I also have the chance to teach and interact with students, which is very rewarding. The passion to learn, to discover and to pass on has always been a driving force for me. In short, I love my job. We never stop learning from each other.

What advice would you give to students who want to do research?

You have to be curious, come and talk to the teacher-researchers to discover their world. Above all, you must not give up and be motivated. Whatever the difficulties, whatever the path taken, I remain convinced that "If we want, we can no matter how long it takes.

Which object or image from your research best illustrates you?

What represents me the most is the need to be able to put my lab coat back on as soon as my schedule allows and to go back to the lab to do experiments. I try to do this regularly, even though it is becoming more and more difficult. I need to be in the laboratory, to work alongside my colleagues, to be close to my students.
