Biography : Philippe Gabriel is a psychopedagogue, lecturer in educational sciences at the University of Avignon and Pays de Vaucluse (UAPV, France) and researcher at the Interdisciplinary Research Laboratory in Didactics, Education and Training (LIRDEF) of the Universities of Montpellier (University of Montpellier, UM, and Paul Valéry University, UPV). He contributes to the work of the 'Work, Training, Development' (WTD) team of the laboratory. After studying psychology, he worked as an adult trainer in the field of economic and social integration, before discovering educational sciences and obtaining a PhD from the University of Burgundy (Dijon) in the speciality of 'evaluation in educational systems'. At the end of his qualification, he was recruited as a teacher-researcher at the University of Picardie Jules Verne (1996-2000) before joining the UAPV where he took on administrative, budgetary and pedagogical responsibilities (2001-2009), while at the same time, and to this day, teaching students interested in the education and training professions. During his academic career, Philippe has led various research projects, participated in numerous international collaborations and expertises (UNESCO, French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Commission, International Centre for Pedagogical Studies, Erasmus+ Agency...) in parallel with local partnerships to support the professional development of educational teams. Its research activities and technological contributions are focused on understanding the contexts and situations of learning, education and training. Evaluation is used to enrich the understanding and effects of phenomena induced by societal evolution or organisational and pedagogical choices made in the field under consideration. In 2012, he was elected to the Conseil National des Universités, section 70, and was also elected convenor for the 'ICT in Education and Training' network of the European Educational Research Association (EERA).
