Archaeology and history of the Roman and late Roman world (4th-7th centuries), gardens in antiquity, domestic architecture, archives and history of archaeology. Research activities Experience and conduct of archaeological excavations

• 1985, 1989 and 1990: Participation in the excavations of Mirebeau, camp of the VIIIth Augustan Legion (Burgundy) under the direction of M. Reddé.
• 1986-1987: excavation of the Palat villa in Saint-Emilion, under the direction of C. Balmelle, director of research at the CNRS.
• 1993-1994-1995: French archaeological mission in Haïdra (Tunisia), with F. Baratte, C. Metzger, J.-Cl. Golvin: excavations and surveys of the Citadel church.
• 2001 : excavations at Caumont-sur-Durance (84) : ornamental pool of the villa's garden, late thermal baths.
• 2002-2004: Franco-Croatian archaeological mission in Salone (Croatia) - on the episcopal group and its courtyard with a water-lifting machine.
• June 2006, archaeological mission to Tell Yanouh (Upper Nahr Ibrahim Valley, Lebanon) directed by Jean-Yves Monchambert, Paris IV-Sorbonne. Results published in J.-Y. Monchambert et alii " Une campagne de sondages sur le tell Kharayeb à Yanouh (printemps 2006) ", BAAL, 12, p. 35-147.
• 2008-2010: co-direction of the French Archaeological Mission of Paphos, with Claire Balandier, lecturer in ancient history at the University of Avignon and the Department of Antiquities of Cyprus.

Co-direction of Sofiane Boudraa, lecturer at the University of Constantine 2: "Les mesures de poids dans les civilisations antiques" - in the framework of his 11-month scholarship at the University of Avignon, in collaboration with Orient & Méditerranée, defense planned in Algiers in spring 2015. Supervisory project: Oussama Nofal (General Directorate of Antiquity in Damascus). In collaboration with Komait Abdallah, (General Directorate of Antiquity of Damascus). Subject: Domestic architecture and decoration of the houses of Shabbah-Philippopolis (Syria).

Biography : Habilitation to direct research, defended at the INHA Paris University of Paris IV- Sorbonne, within the framework of the Doctoral School VI - History of Art and Archaeology ED 124, UMR 8167 - Orient & Mediterranean The Roman pleasure garden between the High Empire and Late Antiquity under the direction of François Baratte, (Paris IV, Research Director), Jean-Pierre Caillet, Paris Ouest - Nanterre La Défense, Anne-Marie Guimier-Sorbets, Paris Ouest - Nanterre La Défense, Gilles Sauron, (Paris IV - Rapporteur ), Jean-Pierre Sodini, (Paris I, member of the Institute), Konrad Vössing, University of Bonn Experience and teaching loads

• 1989 to 1993: Lecturer and Temporary Teaching and Research Associate at the University of Paris IV-Sorbonne - courses at the Institute of Art and Archaeology.
• 1994-1995: Temporary Teaching and Research Associate in History and Archaeology at the University of Toulouse II le Mirail.
• Since 1999: Lecturer in Ancient History at the University of Avignon. H Cl. since 2012.

At the Ecole du Louvre :

• From 1992 to 2002: lecturer at the Ecole du Louvre - 1st year general history of art course in Etruscan and Roman archaeology: adjunct course in Christian archaeology (1992-93, 1996-98; 2001-2002).
• At the Centre des Hautes Etudes de Chaillot (CEDHEC) - Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine Paris.
• Since 2002: Associate Professor - Course on Ancient Roman and Late Roman Architecture
• Since 2014: Roman construction technique - following J.-P. Adam.
