On 5 March 2026, Frédéric Jeorge, lecturer (ICTT), will present a Midiscience on the theme :

Words fly... A short history of writing

From the first letters to AI-generated text, we take a brief look at what humanity has invented to keep track of its words on stone, paper or screen. Origins, evolution, diversity, current issues: the text we take for granted is as rich and alive as the languages and cultures that gave birth to it.

Frédéric Jeorge teaches linguistics at Avignon University and trains adults in a variety of fields. He is passionate about the way languages work and their history, and is always ready to share his knowledge.
