Processing and analysing information for modelling and decision support.
The unprecedented accumulation of information and the resulting needs now place Data Science (DS) at the heart of the challenges facing the contemporary world. The aim of the Data Science degree is to train middle managers capable of assisting decision-making through data management, statistical analysis and programming, reporting and synthesis.
Topical professions These include: statistical research, analysis and reporting officer, data manager, data analyst, data scientist, marketing research officer, business intelligence project manager, big data analyst, etc.
In various sectors Insurance, banking, retail, distribution, surveys and polls, research and services, finance, IT, marketing, pharmaceuticals, tourism, transport, etc.

Further information
- Selective recruitment based on application via parcoursup or studies in France (for foreign applicants) in BUT 1. Possibility of direct entry into BUT 2 or BUT 3 depending on previous experience and training.
- Professionally-oriented training: 22 to 26 weeks of work experience during the course, alternating work placements possible in BUT 3, 600 hours of learning and assessment situations (SAE). 20% of the course is taught by professionals.
- 50% professional integration after BUT 3. Further study is possible in engineering schools (ENSAI, INSA, Polytech, etc.), masters or bachelor's degrees related to the course (Computer Science, MIASHS, MIAGE, etc.).
