The Laboratoire des sciences Juridiques, Politique, Économiques et de Gestion is pleased to welcome as part of the "Matins du -JPEG" 2025,
Samuel NogueraDoctoral student in the third year of a CIFRE thesis in political science at the Centre Émile Durkheim for a talk entitled :
"De l'objet militant aux dispositifs institutionnels: une étude des cahiers de doléances (2018-2019) en Gironde".
The emergence of the Gilets jaunes movement in November 2018 was accompanied by the spontaneous production of cahiers de doléances by mobilised groups, recorded on various media. At the same time, the Association of Rural Mayors of France (AMRF) encouraged their institutionalisation by introducing cahiers de doléances in rural communes. This dynamic was amplified in January 2019 with the organisation of the Great National Debate (GDN), which formalised the "citizens' notebooks" and extended their use to many town halls. In Gironde, the study of these cahiers provides an opportunity to analyse the process by which a means of expression born of popular mobilisation is gradually integrated and supervised by the State. Drawing on the municipal and prefectural archives held by the Gironde Departmental Archives, this presentation will trace the development of these militant objects into institutional mechanisms, examining their content and political significance.
The discussion will be moderated by Yoletty BRACHO, contract MCF in political science (-JPEG-AU).
The session will take place on Friday 11 April 2025 at 10am, at Avignon University, on the Hannah Arendt campus, North Building, in room 2W35.
