Gilles Perez will present the latest Midiscience of the 2024 season, on 18 April, on the theme : "The end of plastic? What next?"
Gilles Perez is a chemical engineer at Danone Packaging and holds a doctorate in materials science. He has spent his career in the glass and plastics industries in marketing and R&D positions.
"We have gone from a second half of the XXᵉ century that was greedy for plastic and regarded this material as fantastic to an early XXIᵉ century that classifies this material as toxic. The question now is whether we can do without this material and what the alternatives are."
