On 22 February, Moritz Hunsmann, sociology researcher at the CNRS and co-director of the Scientific Interest Group on Occupational and Environmental Cancers in the Vaucluse (GISCOPE 84), will host a Midisicence on the theme:
"How to break the invisibility of cancers of occupational and environmental origin? A multidisciplinary action-research project (GISCOPE 84)".
According to the French social security system, between 50,000 and 80,000 work-related cancers go unrecognised every year. Why is this epidemic so invisible? How can we improve recognition of occupational diseases for victims and take preventive action? In what way are workers the sentinels of environmental health?
