Winegrowing is particularly sensitive to climate change, and has been hard hit in recent years. The LACCAVE project, led by INRAE, has studied strategies for adapting the vine and wine industry in France to climate change. The aim of the presentation is to summarise the effects of climate change that have already been observed and to present the results of the project in terms of the adaptation strategies implemented by the various vineyards in France.
Iñaki Garcia de Cortazar Atauri is a Research Engineer and Director of INRAE's AgroClim Service Unit, in charge of climate change impact studies.
In particular, he works on the observation, evolution and modelling of phenology in agroecosystems (TEMPO network) and is the leader of a working group in the LACCAVE project on adapting the vine and wine industry to climate change.
