Governance

The governance of’Avignon University is based on elected bodies that define, steer and implement the school's policy. The President is supported by three Vice-Presidents elected by their respective Councils.

The Board of Directors

The Board of Governors is the university's decision-making body. It determines the institution's general policy and sets the medium- and long-term strategy, within the framework of the contracts signed with the supervisory authorities.

Within this framework, the Board of Governors draws up and votes on the institution's strategic plan. Each year, it defines the university's resources, in terms of jobs and budget. The human resources policy and the annual budget are adopted before the financial accounts are approved and submitted for certification.

In line with the school's strategy and depending on the resources available, the Board of Directors examines and approves developments in education, research and professional integration.
Finally, the Chairman reports to the Board of Directors on the decisions taken in the performance of his duties.
