The CMI are Avignon University's courses of excellence.
In addition to their initial courses (bachelor's and then master's degrees), CMI students benefit from 20% of additional teaching, leading to a university diploma. This additional teaching enriches the disciplinary training with cross-disciplinary knowledge and skills. In this way, students are trained for engineering professions in line with international standards. The CMIs are also an ideal way to pursue doctoral studies.
During the 5-year course, students study the following subjects (in addition to the bachelor's and master's degrees in the foundation course):
International exposure: students spend at least 3 months abroad (in the form of an ERASMUS or non-ERASMUS exchange programme or a work placement abroad). At the end of their course, they have a B2 level in English.
" Thanks to all the professional skills I acquired during my internships, I'm now in M2 and I'm about to sign my permanent contract as an engineer with my internship company.. "

As part of the introductory research workshop, first-year students at CMI Engineering for regional sustainability are mapping dilapidated buildings in Avignon. To better understand the challenges associated with housing and the actions taken by local authorities, they travelled to Marseille, a city heavily affected by these issues, where they spoke with an architect specialising in the renovation of dilapidated buildings.
This immersion enabled them to refine their ability to identify building pathologies visible from the outside and to prepare for the future phase of data collection in the field in Avignon.
Monday 26th May, end-of-year inter-promos outing to Marseille organised by Bruno Bertherat, head of training. In the morning, CMI History and Multimedia students visited the MUCEM, followed by a tour of the Cosquer cave in the afternoon.
