Research topics

Heart function. Exercise metabolic diseases. My research activity is centred on the study of endothelial and myocardial dysfunction and its modulation by chronic physical exercise in pathophysiological (axis 1) or physiological (axis 2) situations characterised by an increase in oxidative stress (firstly PAH, then heart failure and more recently cardiometabolic diseases, thus following the thematic tightening progressively carried out within the unit) Most of my work is carried out in a clinical research context. However, I use animal experiments (in vivo and ex vivo approaches on isolated organs or cells) for a more detailed mechanistic approach by highlighting the signalling pathways involved.
