The GIF Chair at Avignon University is pleased to announce the launch of its simulator dedicated to the territorialisation of the Zero Net Artificialisation objective. This tool, which can be accessed online free of charge, shows that the territorialisation of efforts to reduce the consumption of space is essential if we are to achieve the objectives set by the Climate and Resilience Act. The tool answers the following question: what would happen if local authorities with large reserves of hectares to build on were to cede them to those for whom the ZAN is particularly restrictive?

[Inauguration] Avignon University and UMR 7300 ESPACE launch the GIF (Geodata, Real Estate, Land) partnership chair

The GIF (Geodata, Real Estate, Land) partnership chair was officially launched on Friday 31 March 2023 on the Hannah Arendt campus of Avignon Université. Co-directed by Laure Casanova Enault and Guilhem Boulay, lecturers in geography at Avignon University (UMR CNRS 7300 ESPACE), the GIF Chair brings together four founding members, all key players in the land and property sector: Adequation, a consultancy specialising in data and property markets; Cerema, a public body specialising in the sustainable development of territories; Meilleurs Agents, the French leader in online property valuation; and Union Sociale pour l'Habitat, the national union of federations of low-cost housing organisations.
