Study days: a cross-section of views on the socio-ecological challenges of live performance and festivals

Avignon Universityin partnership with the laboratory Cultural identity, texts and theatricality (ICTT), the Norbert Elias Centre (UMR 8562), the SFR Agorantic and theNational Association for Theatrical Research and Action (ANRAT), is organising two study days to examine the integration of social and environmental imperatives into the guidelines and actions deployed in live performance and festivals.

By bringing together the human sciences and art studies, these discussions will provide an opportunity to questioning the methods and means of transforming professional practices - from creation to dissemination - but also the role of artists as 'creators'. imaginary shakers "In a context where the need for a paradigm shift is being asserted, however, there is a structural contradiction:

How can we make eco-responsible action compatible with the realities of our current socio-economic model, driven by productivism and profitability?
