Reception of people with disabilities
Article 20 of the law of 11 February 2005 provides that 'higher education institutions shall enrol students with disabilities or disabling health conditions, within the framework of the provisions regulating their access in the same way as other students, and shall ensure their training by implementing the adjustments necessary for their situation in the organisation, progress and support of their studies'.
The Relais Handicap is a reception and resource centre designed to help you with your studies and career plans. We work in conjunction with the preventive medicine service, and together we inform you, assess your situation, recommend adjustments and ensure that they are implemented.
During the administrative registration process, you can indicate that you have a disability and ask to benefit from a "Special Study Plan" for your disability. If you decide to do this, make an appointment as soon as possible via relais-handicap@univ-avignon.fr and/or medecine-preventive@univ-avignon.fr to discuss with us the benefits of implementing accessibility and support measures.
These measures are customised:
- human assistance: help with note-taking, personal work, travel on campus or examination secretarial support, for example
- Technical aids: loan of PC during exams, adapted software, earphones for example
- Other facilities: extra time, breaks, individual rooms, etc.
High school students, we invite you to meet with us during the year to anticipate your return to university.
If you have passed your baccalaureate, you can contact us as soon as you have passed your baccalaureate or when you register for university.
Students, throughout the year you can come and find out more at Relais HandicapA place of welcome, advice and support. We will also help you in the event of a temporary disability (domestic accident, sports accident, etc.).
The Relais Handicap recruits students in all fields of study at the beginning of each academic year on the functions of examination tutors or secretaries in order to be able to implement the accommodations available to students with disabilities.
