What is your job?

After obtaining my master's degree in European and International Studies, I first worked at the University of Toulouse to create a programme to promote international student mobility. Then I worked for two years in Congo-Brazzaville, where I did a Volontariat International en Administration (VIA) at the French Embassy to help Congolese students who wanted to study in France.

Since 2020, I'm in charge of international development at the Research and Innovation Support Division. and I support international researchers, international research collaborations and the international activities of theEUR IMPLANTEUS.

What is its link with Research?

As International Development Officer, I support Avignon Université's research activities by facilitating international scientific collaborations, lWelcoming foreign researchers and doctoral students and setting up agreements with partner universities. I also contribute to the international visibility of EUR Implanteus and recruitment of international students.

What does it mean to you to work at a university?

Working at a university means work in a dynamic environment where the transmission of knowledge and innovation are at the heart of our missions. Being in contact with students, doctoral students and researchers from all over the world makes my work stimulating and rewarding. It's also an opportunity to take part in meaningful projects that promote international cooperation and openness.

What advice would you give to people who want to work in research support?

I would advise them to be curious to understand how research and higher education work, both in France and internationally. Fluency in English is essentialIt also requires the ability to network with researchers and institutions. Finally, you need to be adaptable and able to juggle a variety of tasks, as research support is a rich and constantly evolving field.

What object or image from your business best illustrates you?

The object that best illustrates my activity is a passport It symbolises the international mobility I accompany, the scientific collaborations I support and the openness to the world that is at the heart of my profession.


The Avignon University Research and Innovation Support Department

The Department of Research and Innovation Support (DARI) supports the research activities of the institution's two main areas of focus, "Agrosciences, Environment and Health" and "Culture, Heritage and Digital Societies". 15 laboratories.

She participates in the implementation and operational management of the University's scientific policy alongside the Vice-President for Research and the Vice-President for Economic Development and Professional Integration.

It assists research actors (teacher-researchers, researchers, federative research structures, doctoral students) in their relations with the various partners in the socio-economic world.
