Activities
The Personnel Management Department (PGP) is the point of contact for all employees, for any file or personal request.
It takes place before the date of your posting, after you have been recruited, to prepare for your installation.
Before you arriveThe manager will contact you to organise your installation on the workstation.
At this stage, it takes charge of your entire management, both administrative and financial.
The documents to be supplied relate to :
- civil status (ID card, family situation, etc.)
- payroll (RIB, carte vitale, etc.)
- your previous employment history (certificates, pay slips, etc.)
- For contract staff, it ensures that the contract is signed
- For civil servants, it will collect your decree or notice of assignment.
As payroll management in the establishments is subject to the payroll calendar drawn up by the PACA regional public finance directorate (DRFIP PACA), this payroll, known as "made-to-measure", involves a one-month time lag between the receipt of the information and its inclusion on the pay slip.
Example: a change of address, of which the HR department is informed at the beginning of December, is taken into account on the January pay slip.
In view of the above, for a newly-assigned employee, the first salary is paid in the form of an instalment. This corresponds to 70% of gross salary. The adjustment is made in the following pay.
Your manager remains available throughout your journey:
- For the management of your remuneration
- To provide you with all types of documents (in the event of an accident at work, a request for part-time work, a request for authorisation to hold multiple jobs, etc.). Also if you wish to obtain a classification file, a certificate of employment, a certificate of end of contract, a statement of services, etc.).
- To keep your information up to date
- To respond to any type of request for information.
PGP also manages :
- Teaching shifts
- Administrative shifts
- Student contracts
- The Time Savings Account
- Creating your digital identity (in conjunction with DOSI)
- Retirement information (for civil servants).
It is also responsible for the collective management of permanent staff (BIATSS and teaching staff), as well as compensation policy.
Collective management
Collective management of personnel includes :
- campaigns for promotion to a higher grade (promotion boards)
- campaigns relating to lists of suitable candidates for promotion to a higher body
- promotion campaigns specific to teacher-researchers
- campaigns to obtain a CRCT (leave for research or thematic conversions)
- campaigns to organise the delegation of teacher-researchers to the CNRS
- campaigns for specific allowances (PEDR and PRP)
- ETC.
A generic or individual e-mail is sent out for each of these schemes, informing staff that a campaign has been launched. The timetable for the campaign is specified, as are the procedural details.

Depending on the campaign, an individual message is sent to each agent eligible for promotion.
The same applies to the announcement of results at the end of the campaign. A personal letter is sent to the employee, informing them of their ranking or the decision taken by the administration.
