TCF-DAP

The test will take place on Wednesday 5 February 2025 at the Université d'Avignon, Campus Hannah Arendt, site Sainte Marthe, in room 2E01. Timetables will be specified on the exam invitations.

Note: The SDL is not a testing centre for the TCF for the general public, nor for the TCF for access to French nationality.

Test

Candidates will be assessed on their listening comprehension, reading comprehension, grammar and vocabulary skills (in the form of MCQs), followed by an expression test consisting of 3 tasks lasting 60 minutes.
The total time for the TCF as part of the full DAP is 2h25..

Conditions and exemptions

A candidate who has taken a TCF tout public (TFC TP) with a written expression test and who holds an attestation whose validity date is current and whose level is sufficient will be able to use his TCF attestation for his application for prior admission and will therefore not be required to take a TCF DAP. In fact, the TCF TP written expression tests and the TCF DAP tests are strictly identical, so the certificates are equivalent.

There are no preliminary or replacement sessions in case of absence.

DOCUMENTS AND MATERIALS REQUIRED :
Arrive at the examination room on time with :

• a identity documentA valid photo ID (passport, identity card, residence permit, asylum application, etc.).
• a black biros
• the TCF DAP registration confirmation (issued by FEI) as well as, if possible, the convocation stamped by the university (page 9 of the DAP file)
• a envelope A4 format with your name and postal address (see the advice from La Poste) stamped for registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt. Please note that the rate will change on 1 January 2025. Buy your postage from this date.

  • Come alone to the examination (no accompanying person may enter the university premises)

  • WARNING!  Only absences due to illness, a transport strike or the death of a relative will entitle you to a refund of your registration fees (on presentation of proof) within one month of the session date. Candidates who find out after registering that they are not due to take the TCF will not be entitled to a refund of their registration fees.
