"Land ownership by local authorities in France: the current situation
The communes are the 2e largest landowners in France. Whilst owning land allows a certain capacity for regional planning, this capacity is now being called into question by a context of budgetary austerity and the privatisation of public land. The aim of this conference is to take stock of the situation through an analysis of land data for mainland France.
