The participatory sciencesalso known as citizen scienceThis is a scientific approach which involves the active participation of the general public in the research process. This approach makes it possible to mobilise a wide range of people, often non-specialists, to collect data, observe phenomena or even contribute to the analysis of results.

Ailerons" Association

WINGS is a not-for-profit association governed by the French law of 1901, founded in May 2006 in Montpellier (Hérault, France). It is through the collective action of volunteer scientists, students, volunteers from all walks of life and with the help of all sea users (fishermen, managers, associations etc.) that WINGS carries out its projects. Its main objectives to date are the study and conservation of Mediterranean sharks and rays.
