• Tuesday 2 September Back to school for students from the Agrosciences, Environment and Health Institute (AgES), CERI and IUT - Jean-Henri Fabre campus
  courses concerned: students in Physics, Chemistry, Life and Earth Sciences, Computer Science, Math and IUT students, as well as all CMI students

• Wednesday 3rd September Opening of the Institut Culture Patrimoine et Sociétés Numériques (CPSN) - Hannah Arendt campus
  courses concerned: students in Arts, LEA, LLCER, Humanities, Information-Communication, History, Geography and all CMI courses

• Thursday 4 September Opening of the Hannah Arendt campus: start of classes for students at the Institut Culture Patrimoine et Sociétés Numériques (CPSN) and Agrosciences, Environnement et Santé (AgES) - Hannah Arendt campus courses concerned: students in Law, AES, Political Science, STAPS, Math prépa CPGE

8 to 12 September: SPORT week and well-being

Find out more about the University Physical and Sports Activities Department (SUAPS) every day of the week to discover the sporting activities on offer at Avignon University: 

• From 10am to 12pm on the Jean-Henri Fabre campus in the grounds of the Institut AgES ;
• From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Hannah Arendt campus in the central park.

What's more, The Maison du Vélo of Greater Avignon is on hand to present their services, with workshops and events: 

• From 11.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. on Friday 12 September on the Jean-Henri Fabre campus ;
• 11.45 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday 10 September on the Hannah Arendt campus;

15 to 20 September: CULTURE week

• monday 15 september : from 11.30am: Opening of membership of the Culture Patch and Introductory Art Workshops - central park on the Hannah Arendt campus
• tuesday 16 september : from 11am: Sound buffet (with DJ set) and membership of the Culture Patch - Park between the Agrosciences buildings (Jean-Henri Fabre campus)
• wednesday 17 september : 6-8pm: Free afterwork open to all.
• Thursday 18 September 12.30pm: Un opus au campus - concert by the Orchestre national Avignon Provence - hall of the north building (Hannah Arendt campus)
• friday 19 september : afternoon: Cultural walk from the Hannah Arendt campus, with visits to the Grenier à sel, the Maison Jean Villar, the Collection Lambert and the Musée Angladon.
• Saturday 20 September 2pm-6pm: European Heritage Day with guided tours of the North Building on the Hannah Arendt campus and a visit to the apothecary with a VR headset.

22 September: Mobility Days

From 11 a.m. on the Hannah Arendt campus: discover all the mobility options available in Avignon. Stands and events organised by over 20 local players: Réseau ZOU, Orizo, Mission Locale, Cap Emploi, Mobilité Université, Avignon Town Hall, Association Art de vivre, Roulons à Vélo, SNCF, etc.
A day in partnership with France Travail.

• Tuesday 23 September from 11 a.m. (North Building and Central Park, Hannah Arendt campus): A free recycling centre for students (crockery, household linen, small electrical appliances and furniture, etc.) and food and hygiene product distribution with the French Red Cross. There will also be a presentation on responsible eating. Various health and social players from Avignon will be present: SSE, Relais Handicap, PAEJ, CROUS, CPAM, Avenir Santé maraude, Manoléta, etc.
• Wednesday 24 September from 11am (Agrosciences, Jean-Henri Fabre campus): A free recycling centre for students (crockery, household linen, small electrical appliances and furniture, etc.) and food and hygiene product distribution with the French Red Cross. 29 September to 2 October: Citizen and Community Involvement Week

• Tuesday 30 September from 11.30am (Agrosciences, Jean-Henri Fabre campus): Associations Day with stands and events organised by Avignon Université student associations.
• Wednesday 1 October from 11.30am (central park, Hannah Arendt campus): Associations Day with stands and events organised by Avignon Université student associations.
• Thursday 2 October : New Student Welcome Day (JAE) :
  • Between 12 noon and 2 p.m.: free lunch for new students on Hannah Arendt campus ;
  • From 2pm: an orienteering race in the town centre, called Pap'Express ;
  • From 3.30 pm: meet at the Barthelasse leisure centre where :
    • A colour run in teams of 5,
    • Events organised by student associations,
    • Stands set up by various local and national organisations: Avignon Town Hall, Grand Avignon, AFEV, Planning Familial 84, UNICEF, Don du Sang, Les petites choses, Latitude, etc.
  • From 8pm: free concert, launch of the 2025 edition of Culture.com's Atypik Festivalwith foodtruck presence.
