The student health service (SSE)

MISSIONS :

  • Implementing and coordinating prevention and health promotion initiatives for students
  • Supporting and integrating students with disabilities and/or foreign students
  • Helping people access primary care and directing them to specialist structures where necessary
  • Training and supervision of Health Relay Students (ERS)
  • Health monitoring and public health issues

 

All SSE services are free and confidential!

You can make an appointment with a nurse for :

  • A Health Prevention Point : take stock of your overall health and receive advice on how to improve it
  • A Smoking Point: a consultation with a tobaccologist (cigarette, electronic cigarette, puff) and, if necessary, help in giving up smoking
  • A Point Addiction(s) : benefit from a consultation with an addictologist, follow up on one or more addictions, maintain motivation and abstinence
  • Vaccination Point: update your vaccination record and get vaccinated
  • A Health Information Point : ask all your questions and obtain information about your health, and be directed to a partner or professional who can help with your health problems
  • Being cared for : dressings and special medical care

 

You can make an appointment with a doctor for : 

  • A medical consultation : to discuss any physical, psycho-social or mental health problems affecting your studies and your health
  • An application for the RSE (Régime Spécial d'Etude) : for medical reasons
  • A request for exemption from or adaptation of university physical activities
  • Compulsory medical consultation : it only concerns certain students (students with disabilities, foreign students, students exposed to particular risks or those who have been summoned)
  • A Sexual Health Point : to discuss sexuality and access contraception, abortion and STI screening

Take note! Students with chronic illnesses or specific needs, or those with disabilities, are advised to contact the Student Health Service at Relais Handicap in the case of special arrangements, from the beginning of the year, to enable the application of accommodation measures for the curriculum and/or examinations and competitions.

 

Every student has the right to a preventive health examination!

NEWS HSE : 

The SSE is organising a free vaccination campaign against serious meningococcal infectionsThis is in response to an increase in the number of cases in 2024-2025, particularly among 15-24 year olds.
Come and get vaccinated free of charge, and find out more about this infection and the preventive measures available! 

 

LE SSE IS RECRUITING :

Every year, the SSE recruits Student Health Advisers to provide guidance to students, report their needs and lead prevention initiatives. Remuneration based on the minimum wage. 4 hours/week, flexible depending on the week. Job description here.
