Call for doctoral candidates : Sciences en bulles 2025
To mark the 25th anniversary of the Fête de la science in 2016, the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR) and the Ministry of Culture (MC), in partnership with the Science pour tous group of the Syndicat national de l'édition (SNE), France Universités, the A+U+C association and sponsor CASDEN Banque Populaire, wanted to promote science books by producing a popular science book.

A theme at the heart of multi- and cross-disciplinary research
For the 2025 edition, Science en bulles will explore the theme of "Intelligence(s)".
In February 2025, France will host the Summit for Action on Artificial Intelligence, bringing together heads of state and government, leaders of international organisations, small and large businesses, representatives of academia, researchers, non-governmental organisations, artists and other members of civil society.
This is a major issue for the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, particularly through the AI PEPR funded by France 2030, as part of the national strategy for artificial intelligence. Co-piloted by the CEA, CNRS and Inria, its budget of €73 million over six years should enable it to support France's acceleration in the field of AI, by removing scientific barriers in the areas of embedded AI, frugal AI, distributed AI and trusted AI, as well as proposing innovative mathematical approaches to the theoretical foundations of AI. The advent of artificial intelligence also represents a major revolution for culture. AI can encourage the networking and sharing of knowledge and contribute to the emergence of new cultural and scientific mediation systems. But it also raises key questions about the relationship with creation, copyright and critical thinking. AI will therefore be a key theme for 2025.
Beyond AI, the 2025 edition of the Fête de la science invites professionals from research, education and scientific culture to cross disciplinary fields, explore various forms of intelligence, and rethink what it means to be intelligent, beyond human boundaries.
