A look back at the Culture Europe relay day - A collective effort to strengthen European projects in the cultural field
The 14 November 2025, Avignon University hosted the Relais Culture Europe Dayan event dedicated to highlighting European opportunities for players in the cultural sector. Organised with the support of PUI ProvenceThe day brought together a large number of teacher-researchers, cultural professionals and institutional partners from the region, illustrating a strong collective dynamic around the development of European projects.
After opening remarks by Isabelle Brianso, Vice-president for Culture, and Laurent Lombard, Scientific Director of the Villa Créative, the morning began with a presentation on the Villa Créative. plenary conference dedicated to presenting the programme Creative Europe. Hosted by Relais Culture EuropeIt brought together Stéphane Segreto Aguilarits director, and Fabienne Trotte and Annwenn JégouIn the course of the conference, a number of speakers provided a rich and practical insight into the funding arrangements, the programme's priorities and the tools available to support the emergence of cultural projects with a European dimension.
This session was also enriched by the feedback from two project leaders supported by the Relais Culture Europe, Dominique Cunin and Fanny Roustanwho shared their experiences, what they have learnt and the challenges involved in setting up European projects.
The afternoon was devoted to a practical workshop: "Setting up a European project / Creative Europe Programme. The workshop provided participants with an opportunity to exchange ideas, methodological advice and feedback, helping to build skills and create new synergies between researchers and cultural organisations.
