CROUS / Covid19
Catering
Student catering can no longer be provided. Shops are still open, however, and as long as you comply with the instructions on limiting travel and observe the barrier measures, you can buy supplies in the shops closest to your home.
The CROUS has also donated its food stocks to the Restos du Coeur d'AvignonYou can buy supplies from the Restos du Coeur if you are experiencing difficulties.
Hosting
Whether you are a national, overseas or international student, you have been invited to return to your family home, so that you do not have to stay in your accommodation in isolation. This has been reinforced since the President of the Republic's announcements on 16 March, within the limits of compatibility with the travel ban.
This means that you can leave your CROUS accommodation, even temporarily, without having had time to clear it of all your personal belongings (which amounts to blocking the accommodation and preventing CROUS from allocating it to another resident). Residents will no longer pay their rent from 1 April. To do this, it is important that you give notice of your departure, even after the event.
However, those who wish to stay will continue to be welcomed in the residences, which will remain open with a minimal service.
Caution! It is currently impossible to envisage changing accommodation or grouping students in the same residence.
As far as possible, if you wish to return to your accommodation when your training resumes, you will be accommodated in CROUS residences.
Finally, if you are staying in one of the CROUS residences and you are ill, in accordance with current health recommendations, it is important that you first contact your doctor and inform your residence manager so that the CROUS can help you, including with your basic needs for food and basic necessities.
It is also important to adopt a very respectful attitude to barrier gestures.
Grants based on social criteria
There will be no interruption in the procedure for processing applications or making payments. Even if staff are forced to telework, business continuity plans ensure this.
Psychological support
Consultations are still possible by telephone, following the usual procedure: Make an appointment online with the psychologist via the portal : messervices.etudiants.gouv.fr / "Make an appointment with the CROUS" section
Social assistance
The social workers remain available by telephone, e-mail and Skype.
You can call on the usual emergency assistance services:
By making an appointment online for a telephone interview with a CROUS social worker via the portal : messervices.etudiants.gouv.fr / "Make an appointment with the CROUS" section
If you have an emergency, you can also contact the social services department and explain your situation:
- By mail : service.social@crous-aix-marseille.fr
- By telephone: 04 42 91 30 20
You may also be eligible for one-off aid to replace the aid allocated by the FSDIE. The CROUS is responsible for processing applications for individual aid, normally under the FSDIE. The CROUS will submit these applications to its weekly ad hoc aid allocation committees. This measure only concerns applications that have already been submitted to the CROUS social worker and those that will be submitted between now and the normal resumption of FSDIE operations.
For any other questions, the CROUS office in Avignon can be contacted by e-mail : antenne.avignon@crous-aix-marseille.fr
