Contracts, Intellectual Property and Partnerships Division
Serving researchers, doctoral students, laboratories, and federative research structures, the «contracts, intellectual property, and partnerships» division of the DARI (Research and Innovation Support Department)) is the primary interface between Avignon University and the socio-economic and institutional world. The centre's mission is to support researchers and promote research partnerships and all of Avignon University's research and development activities. Its main tasks are:
- Initiate, develop and facilitate relations with external partners in the field of Research & Development.
- Supporting researchers and/or their research partners in :
- negotiating and formalising contractual activities,
- how to protect and promote research results through intellectual property and licensing,
- technology transfer operations, including the creation of innovative companies.
Services offered in research valorisation
- Formalisation of any research project by a contract, the nature, financial and material conditions and human contributions of which are negotiated with the research partner(s).
- Detecting innovation in research laboratories and helping to set up valorisation files.
- Raising awareness of issues of confidentiality, intellectual property, technology transfer and business creation.
- Management of the intangible portfolio of Avignon University (patents, trademarks, software, know-how).
- Drafting, technical and legal follow-up of Avignon University's technology transfer contracts.
- To develop innovations in conjunction with the SATT SUD EST, of which Avignon University is a shareholder.
Services offered in economic development and partnerships
- To provide guidance and advice to project leaders from the university community or the socio-economic world in order to accelerate and facilitate research collaborations.
- Active networking with the socio-economic world and detection of companies' requests for innovation and/or skills.
- Organisation of events to encourage the emergence of collaborations between the university and companies, in partnership with the territory's innovation networks.
- Monitoring of collaboration opportunities.
- Coordination of the Partnership Chairs scheme
- Coordination of activities related to cultural and creative industries
