  • 1986: Student at the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Ulm)
  • 1989: History professor
  • 1992: Scholarship at the Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa)
  • 1997: Doctorate in history from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Sciences Sociales
  • 1998: Senior lecturer at the University of Avignon
