PRESENTATION
The Legal and Institutional Affairs Department assists and advises the university's management, departments and components on all legal issues relating to the university environment.
Missions
The aim of the DAJI is to provide advice, expertise, decision-making assistance and legal monitoring to the governance, departments, divisions and components, as well as to defend the university's interests in pre-litigation matters and before the courts.
The DAJI ensures that the university's statutory bodies function properly and helps to draft legal documents, agreements and all types of deeds, in conjunction with the departments concerned.
The department helps defend the university by handling pre-litigation and litigation.
To this end, the university is a member of the professional network of legal affairs managers in higher education.
Legal Affairs
The Legal Affairs Unit is responsible for :
- provide legal advice and expertise
- manage pre-litigation and litigation
- run the registry for disciplinary sections (users and teachers)
Corporate affairs
The Institutional Affairs Division is responsible for :
- managing the organisation of central councils: the Board of Directors and the Academic Council
- organising and managing elections
- draw up delegations of signature and authority
- ensure that the articles of association and by-laws are in order
archives
The Archives Unit is responsible for :
- to define and implement a facility-wide archiving policy
- promote the documentary and historical heritage of universities
Protection of personal data
The protection of personal data concerns all members of our community and relies on each and every one of us in the performance of our duties.
Protecting means :
- Limit the personal data handled to what is strictly necessary
- Use the tools and best practices proposed by the DOSI
- Ask your Data Protection Officer as soon as you have the slightest doubt. He or she is your point of contact.
