Further information
The Department of Information and Communication Sciences was set up in 1989 on the basis of training programmes that had been in place since 1984. Twenty years of existence have enabled us to build up a wealth of experience in terms of professional training, with the introduction of an MST in Multimedia Design in 1989, followed by the creation of a DESS in Cultural Development Strategies in 1997 and the transformation of the MST into an IUP in Arts and Culture.
The transition to the LMD has provided an opportunity to create a range of courses that will help to establish a benchmark centre for communication and culture, based both on research and on the provision of a curriculum that extends from the undergraduate level - essential for establishing a solid foundation in a field - through to specialist excellence at both professional and doctoral level.
