👉 Go to https://signalement.univ-avignon.fr

On this platform, you can describe the facts (including anonymousif you wish):

  • sexual and gender-based violence,
  • physical or psychological violence,
  • harassment,
  • discrimination.

Once you have submitted your alert, you will be directed to the most appropriate resource persons to your situation.

You're not alone: Avignon Université is here to listen, inform and support you.

       Stage 1

  1. Alert
The victim or witness enters a testimonial on the platform
  2. First contact
The testimony is read by the VSS advisors. They suggest an interview with the reporting unit, which consists of two trained listeners from the university community.
  3. Listening to and guiding the victim or witness
The listening duo welcomes, collects testimonies and directs the person towards appropriate support structures.
  4. Report
The listening duo then writes a report which is submitted to the victim or witness for approval. With their consent, the reporting unit can refer the matter to the teaching staff or university management to consider the appropriate follow-up action. Depending on the seriousness of the situation, the reporting unit may also be required to draw up a report.

    Step 2

    Decision on administrative follow-up
Depending on the situation, a task force will meet and may propose further action:

    Disciplinary measures
    – Reminder of the internal rules
    – Reminder of the law
    – Notice of meeting
    – Temporary eviction
    – Disciplinary committee

    Protective measures
    – Timetable planning
    – External support from France Victime 84 (legal information, etc.)
    – One-off CSR allocation

The university management may decide to conduct an administrative investigation on the basis of the report.

It is made up of staff members and teachers who are volunteers and trained in listening skills.

  • Myriam Dougados (Administrative staff)
  • Alexandra Piaumier (Administrative staff)
  • Sandra Poitevin (Administrative Staff)
  • Lilian Rondin (Teacher)
  • Benoît Rossignol (Teacher)
  • Jérémie Fontaine (Administrative staff)
  • Louis Basco (Retired teacher at Avignon University)

The unit plays an active role in listening to victims and referring them to psychological, medical and legal support.

It receives and listens to the initial testimony and helps to formalise the details in writing, with a view to an investigation or disciplinary and/or criminal proceedings. The unit is not responsible for conducting investigations or follow-up itself. It therefore does not conduct adversarial proceedings (no confrontation with the accused).

The listening duo writes a report following the meeting, which it sends to the processing unit so that, with the victim's or witness's consent, it can refer the matter to the university's governing body for administrative follow-up.

Confidentiality, neutrality and kindness. Members undergo mandatory training and commit to respecting anonymity within the limits of the’Article 40 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
