Video game Thursdays: «Doing science with video games» at the Grenier à Sel

29 January: 6.30pm - 20h30

Thursday 29 January at 6.30pm, Grenier à Sel, Avignon

The 5ᵉ monthly rendezvous dedicated to video games is open to everyone, neophytes and specialists alike.
«Do science with video games?»

Do video games serve only to entertain, or can they also advance science? From research into gamer behaviour to scientific experiments incorporated into certain video games, not forgetting games that have contributed to real discoveries, this presentation will explore the bridges between these two worlds. Which video games have really helped research? Why have certain projects failed? And above all, could science be used to create new video games?

The meeting is hosted by Pol Grasland-Mongrain, PhD, Lecturer at the University of Avignon,
chairman of the association Science Comes Into Play.
