On 27 March 2025, Romane Blaya, doctor in ecology (UMR IMBE), will present a Midiscience on the theme :

"Ants: from an essential link in ecosystems to biological invasions".

Ants play an important role in the functioning of ecosystems. They could be useful for better understanding and monitoring the changes they undergo. However, given the increase in the introduction of exotic ant species in Europe, it is important to understand the reasons for their success, identify their main routes of introduction and improve legislative tools to avoid or reduce their impact.

Les Midisciences

We are offering a series of short lectures on a wide variety of subjects (30 min presentation and 30 min discussion) aimed at the university community, the general public in Avignon and social and economic partners. The aim is to convey the essentials of a research topic and then, during a discussion, to share questions and thoughts on emerging knowledge.
