Avignon University honours Amandine Rousset, its doctoral ambassador

As part of the national scheme Doctoral Ambassador, supported by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space, Avignon University is proud to have an ambassador committed to promoting research and the scientific approach: Amandine Rousset.

After obtaining her degree in Chemical Engineering, Amandine completed a thesis in chemistry at the University of Paris. GREEN laboratory (SQPOV - INRAE/Avignon University), as part of a CIFRE with the company GuaTecs. Her work focused on intensifying the aqueous phase (solvent-free) extraction process for guayule resin by combining innovative techniques.

In 2022, it was awarded a prize in the My thesis in 180 seconds winning the Audience Prize and the 2ᵉ Regional Jury Prize.

After managing an extraction laboratory in Clermont-Ferrand, she is now Head of Quality and Research & Development at Phytéo Laboratoire in Moulins.

Through her role as ambassador, Amandine Rousset aims to raise awareness among high school and university students of the challenges and opportunities of a doctorate. She is also involved in scientific outreach activities, particularly during the Fête de la Science, and assists bachelor's and master's students with practical work.
