The unit plays an active role in listening to victims and referring them to psychological, medical and legal support.
It receives and listens to the initial testimony and helps to formalise the details in writing, with a view to an investigation or disciplinary and/or criminal proceedings. The unit is not responsible for conducting investigations or follow-up itself. It therefore does not conduct adversarial proceedings (no confrontation with the accused).
The listening duo writes a report following the meeting, which it sends to the processing unit so that, with the victim's or witness's consent, it can refer the matter to the university's governing body for administrative follow-up.
Confidentiality, neutrality and kindness. Members undergo mandatory training and commit to respecting anonymity within the limits of the’Article 40 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
