Goals

  • To be the preferred springboard for students wishing to enter secondary education, via the teaching competition
  • To respond to the demand of many students who are not primarily destined for the secondary school recruitment exams by means of optional content courses
  • To increase the conditions of success for undergraduate students by encouraging a choice of accession, via a real choice of adapted courses, and bridges at different levels
  • To address the most varied aspects of the culture of the English-speaking world
  • To identify new areas of research in civilisation, literature and the history of the language of English-speaking countries for the Master's degree

The Arts course of the LLCE English Licence is strictly reserved for students of the Conservatoire. They must register at the University in addition to their registration at the Conservatoire.

International

The programme is accompanied by a series of measures to encourage students to go abroad: supervision and monitoring of ERASMUS students, organisation and supervision of assistants in Great Britain and Ireland, readers in the United States (Fulbright programme), exchange agreement with the University of Waikato (New Zealand), agreement with Macalester College (St Paul, Minnesota), Maryville College (Tennessee), Assumption College in Worcester (Massachusetts) and Portland State University (Oregon).

There is a commission for the validation of prior learning and an equivalence commission for holders of foreign diplomas, or people wishing to resume their studies.

Admission procedures

For foreign students, or for a resumption of studies: meet with the Student Affairs Department to request a form for validation of studies or a request for equivalence of diplomas.

At Avignon University, the pre-registration and registration procedures are done online on the website, consult the "Registration" section.
