Goals
- The teaching of the Licence in Literature aims to provide students with a solid French literary culture, both French and foreign, from the Middle Ages to the 20th century, as well as a knowledge of the history of the French language and its functioning
- The courses in the Licence in Literature allow students to develop critical thinking skills and acquire fluid and versatile writing skills
- In addition to general skills, the "theatre studies" course in the L3 offers the possibility of acquiring specific knowledge in the field of French and foreign theatre
Specificities
- The students have a privileged environment: university library, city centre campus, computer rooms...
- Some courses can be given off-site, such as at the BNF - Maison Jean Vilar, or at the Centre des Écritures Dramatique at the Chartreuse de Villeneuve-lez-Avignon
- Cultural professionals (arts, theatre, publishing) can intervene to enrich the training.
