Cost and financial aid
The History degree at the University of Avignon and Pays de Vaucluse (UAPV) is designed to allow for a progressive specialisation based on the knowledge of historical sources and the major chronological sequences of ancient, medieval, modern and contemporary history. After three "general" semesters, the course offers, from semester 4 onwards, more specialised teaching within two distinct courses: Historical sciences and teaching or Heritage: art, culture, archaeology.
The teaching of the four main periods constitutes the core of the curriculum. The fundamental teaching units always combine two periods throughout the course.
This allows students to master the major chronological sequences and to use the appropriate geographical scales.
Two other elements of the core curriculum are the discovery of other human and social sciences, in particular Geography and Information and Communication Sciences, as well as the practice of a foreign language.
