Goals
Understand and master all the sectors of computer science in order to be quickly operational, while possessing great capacities of evolution in the profession of computer scientist.
Specificities
The teaching of the Licence Informatique takes place at the Centre for Teaching and Research in Computer Science (CERI) of Avignon University, on the Agroparc activity pole.
All the computer science courses - LMD - are grouped in the modern building of the CERI, with 9 computer rooms, 3 network and telecom rooms, 10 classrooms and 2 amphitheatres equipped with audio-video material.
This building also hosts the Computer Science Research Laboratory of Avignon University (LIA), to which the teachers-researchers of the Licence belong.
The CERI has a Training Council composed of professionals and teacher-researchers in equal numbers, which defines the main lines of training in computer science at Avignon University.
The training team is made up of teacher-researchers, secondary school teachers and external contributors from the professional world.

Scientific Baccalaureate
The Licence in Computer Science is particularly aimed at students with a scientific baccalaureate, but above all at students who wish to master the computer tool completely, who are curious about the future needs of users and who are ready to imagine the applications of tomorrow.

Admission conditions
Admission in L1 conditioned by the obtaining of the Baccalaureate preferably scientific.
Admission in L2 with a Bac +1 training preferably related to computer science, mathematics and computer science, or mathematics, but also L1 of Licence in Sciences & Technologies. Other courses, please contact the head of the Licence in Computer Science.
Admission in L3 with a Bac +2 training:
- DUT in Computer Science, networks or STID
- L2 of Licence in Sciences & Technologies according to course
- BTS in the field of computer science according to the excellence of the file

Cost and financial aid
The Licence in Computer Science is organized over 3 years into fundamental scientific and pre-professional courses, and complementary technical courses that are increasingly specialized.
The basic courses provide the fundamental bases of computer science and all the knowledge necessary for the profession of computer scientist and the complementary subjects, chosen by the student, provide a good opening to new technologies of Web development, electronic document management (EDM), optimization and planning, mobile networks and telecommunications...
Thus students master throughout the training their professional project and / or further study.

Conditions of validation
The training consists of lectures, tutorials and practical work on computers. In addition, each semester students carry out a computer project, individually or collectively, in order to put into practice the knowledge acquired during the courses.
The courses are taught by teachers-researchers and professionals, guaranteeing their high level and their permanent updating.
The control of knowledge is for the most part continuous, combining practical and theoretical assessments.
