Goals

The University Bachelor of Technology (BUT) Marketing Techniques (TC) allows:

  • to train students for versatile, autonomous and progressive sales positions
  • to accompany students on a real professionalizing university course
  • to prepare students for professional integration or further studies.
In six semesters, the Marketing Techniques program trains students in all areas of business. The targeted skills are broad.

Specificities

The specificity of the BUT is the emphasis placed on the application of theoretical knowledge and the support of the student for the realization of their personal professional project (PPP).

The PPP must allow the student to have a precise idea of the many trades related to commerce and the skills necessary to exercise these trades.

Internships

Because of the apprenticeship system, the periods spent in a company are considered as training periods for the validation of the training.

The training is versatile with a large volume of teaching in marketing, negotiation and various management subjects (accounting, strategy, customer relationship management, purchasing, logistics, entrepreneurship) of economics and law.

The students have a large volume of teaching in English.

The teaching is provided by a teaching staff including teachers-researchers, teachers and professionals. It is made up of 1800 hours of which 64% is directed work, 16% is practical work and 20% is lectures.

The program and skills developed by the training are set out in its national curriculum.

The graduate of the BUT MT is able to analyze the context of a company, to elaborate a diagnosis of its situation, of its strategy, to carry out a market study, to elaborate strategic orientations, to propose a marketing plan, to develop a sales argument, to integrate in a commercial team, to set up a prospecting plan, to master the computer and statistical tools to analyze the collected data, to master the communication techniques.
